This week we have loads of big and beautiful cauliflower. They didn't quite size up in time for Thanksgiving, but we now have 2 plantings coming on at once, and full abundance of this cool season brassica. Lots of brussels, kale, collards, cabbage, and a few bags of broccoli. We also have some more sweet peppers ripening up now in the warm cooler (they stop ripening below a certain ambient temperature), and will have more green and coloured bells for the next few weeks, as well as a good assortment of mixed tomatoes. Our fields are still full of super fresh greens, loving these cool nights, and the carrots, beets, radishes, kohlrabi and hakurei are sweetening up even more. We have a bit more delicata, still a good supply of acorn squash, and lots of spaghetti and butternut.

This is the final week of the Summer Farm Share Program and we want to thank everyone who took a chance and signed up with us this season. We are forever grateful to our longtime customers for coming back year after year and making our farm a success, and super happy to be welcoming new members each season as well. We had a pretty good growing season this go-around and have lots of great stuff available this week to help fill your Thanksgiving table. Large butternuts, sweet potatoes, carrots and green onions are back, as well as 5 lb. bags of a variety of potatoes. We have tons of herbs to season your meals, all the fresh greens, Brussels, broccoli, a few cauliflower and lots of coloured and green sweet peppers, tomatoes, all the radishes, and loads more ready for this week of abundance.

Our Fall Farm Share program starts in 3 weeks and we still need many more members to match all of the food we have spent the season growing. Please share with friends and family to help us finish off the season with a bang!

New in the online store this week we have collard greens, a new bed of pole beans sizing up, a few heads of sweet corn, and some more Sea Buckthorn berry branches. Our late summer greens are looking fantastic and lush, and our fall cabbages, kohlrabi and celeriac are sizing up. Broccoli is coming along and may be ready for next week, and our last bed of cucumbers is starting to produce. We have lots of sweet peppers, tomatoes, tomatillo and eggplants this week, and lots of San Marzano roma tomatoes available for all of your canning and preserving needs.

***REMINDER THAT THE CAFE PYRUS OUTPOST PICKUP WINDOW IS NOW ONLY FROM 10-12***

This week in the online store we have our first pints of green bush beans available, as well as a new to us herb, Holy Basil (Tulsi). We also have the first mixed flower bouquets of the season available, this week featuring snapdragons. Jesse's Mom Joan grows the flowers on our farm, and has lots of variety on the go! This week we again have a good supply of sweet broccoli, and our first try at broccolini will be ready next week as well as our next planting of cauliflower. We have a fresh succession of snap and shelling peas ready this week, though the raccoons have just discovered their very favourite nighttime snack, the shelling peas, so we only get what they cannot reach from here on out. (Another win for trellising!) We have a huge flush of sweet bell and long peppers again this week from the greenhouse, and the very first of the jalapenos are ready in the hoophouse. As well as an insane amount of tomatoes, so bulk quantities are up for grabs if you want to make your own Heritage soup.

New in the online store this week we have fresh garlic, red cabbage, and summer savoury available. We also have a new planting of orange and rainbow carrots, and a fresh planting of broccoli, less funny looking this time. We will also have a huge amount of tomatoes ripening this week with the heatwave expected, so this is a good time to have an extra tomato salad, and enjoy them any way you can. Lots of sweet peppers are ripening in the greenhouse this week, though they are a bit smaller than we like them this year so I have reduced the price a bit.

New this week in the online store we have lots of broccoli, and some more cauliflower available. More heritage and red beefsteak and cherry tomatoes, our first shelling peas, and loads more sugar snap peas as our second succession comes on, and a few more peppers and zucchini available as well. Other things available include carrots, beets, radishes, hakurei, pac choi, cucumbers, fresh kohlrabi, kale, green onion, eggplant, arugula, spinach, spicy mix, salad mix, mini red & green lettuce, romaine, butterhead, rhubarb, chard, flat and curly parsley, cilantro, dill, lemon balm, chives, basil, and oregano.

Cherry tomatoes and snap peas are here this week, and as of now, are already sold out. We also have the first of the sweet long red peppers, a few baby cauliflower, hakurei turnip bunches, and flat and curly parsley joining the harvest list. And again more long and Italian eggplant, carrot bunches, a fresh bed of cucumber variety, butterhead, romaine, red and green mini heads, red and mixed colour beet, red radish, rhubarb, asparagus, green onion, salad mix, spinach, arugula, baby kale, spicy mix, curly and toscano kale, kohlrabi bunches, chives, lemon balm, dill, cilantro, basil, (a bit of mint!), oregano, and thyme available. Fresh herbs are in their prime these days!
